I got this code this morning while my car was warming up and I wanted to know what does it mean when it says that the O2 sensor is heated? Also, how do I check to see if I have a bad injector. I've had this error pop up before but it's been a good 5 months since I've seen it.


EDIT: Ok, I'm not woke yet, forget the comment about the O2 sensor, eventhough that could be the problem. Do any of you think it may be because I have 2 units tapped into the O2 signal?(A/F guage and Venom A/F guage)

I had this code just the other day, but that is because someone messed with my SAFC when I let them borrow my car. I have stock injectors and they set the Hi-Throttle percentages at -10% across the board, causing my engine to lean right the hell out. Do you have an S-AFC, and if so, what are your settings? What I would do is first go buy some injector cleaner for like $3.00 from Pep Boys, and see if that helps. Prob not, but atleast its worth a shot. Also, the heated 02 sensor means that your 02 sensor is going bad. But whatever the problem is I would check all fuel fittings, injectors, FPRs, etc. Are you turbo, if so, whats your turbo and fuel setup?

I'm not turbo and I don't have an AFC. The problem is weird becuase it is very sporadic when it pops up. I can clear the cel and it won't pop back up for atleast a couple months or so. I've tried the injector cleaner before but that didn't seem to help. My fuel filter isn't that old either so I don't think that's getting clogged. The only time I get the CEL is when the car is warming up or idling. It never pops up while I'm driving. Does anyone else have any ideas or things I can check?

that is a lean a/f mixture code. It's all fuel related. Get a mech stethoscope to see if you're injectors are firing alright.

ok, thanks. I didn't think about checking them that way. Anyone else have any ideas? I reset the ecu last night and of course it hasn't came back yet. It'll probably wait until I go to get it inspected on Monday to come back.

aye bro... go down to autozone and get an fuel/vacume pressure gouge.. its around 30$... check your fuel pressure b4 the injectors..(ie:fuel rail back) this will narrow your search... also depending on the milalge you might wanna use that vaccume gauge to check out the mechanical condition of the car... its a diagnostic toll for 30$. (it will show u how in the packaging)

We have heated O2 sensors on our car meaning the O2 sensor has a heating filiment inside it that will bring the O2 sensor to proper operating temperture regardless if the engine is warmed up yet, etc...
