Here you go guys and gals. The semi finished project (the true final product will have a carbon fiber intake from front to back). Still have lots to test and work on, but everyone wanted pics. The box has some specialties in it, and mounts where the old airbox use to be. Then 4 wires to hook up. Battery positive, negative, Tach wire, and the Ign wire. I will be testing this weekend, and will post info, and then soon will be dynoing infront of the DSMers here, and a couple of lucky one's from the 2Gnt group. Let the crap fly.

At what point do you consider it not working, or it works? If it gives more than a cold air intake, isn't it working? If it gives 30 horsepower is it working? I'd think that the fan would have to be at varying speeds during engine operation to match the existing air flow. if the fan is only turned on when you want a boost, you'd really be loosing power because of some object blocking the airflow in the intake, thus, less air getting into the engine -----> LOSS OF POWER!

anyway, the amount of current needed to provide even a small amount of "boost" would be enough where the engine would have to work HARDER to turn the alternator that you just put an extra huge load on. ----> loss of power.

It sounds good in theory, but when it comes down to it, it just won't work unless you have some big departure from previous electric turbo/supercharger types. You may add air, but the power of the fan simply isn't enough to overpower the drag on the system it causes. You may prove us all wrong and that would be great, but previous experience leads us all to be very skeptical. Good luck.

Video would definately be the best, so there's no doubt that the dyno is from the same car. If you can show 20-30 whp with no other modification besides your turbo-thing, then we will believe. Until then too many have tried and failed in this attempt, for us to bow down and fworship the wonder of electronics.

The 2007 Nissan GT-R (Skyline name will be dropped), will have electric motors to assist the two turbos. Basically an electric motor will help spin the turbine until boost is achieved and then they will turn off. 6 cylinders, two turbos, two electric assist motors = bye bye competition.

ok you know why an electric turbo would not work? even if it produced enough boost?

simple...its cfm flow is indipendent from the engine...if it boosts enough for 10 psi at 2000 rpm it will certainly not do the same at 6000 rpm, where the engine requires 3x the amt of air....if it does produce enough boost at 4k...at 1500 you would have overboost...

You could add some sort of electrical rpm control of the turbine...but that costs money......and lots of research to tune the sistem for the proper flow

off topic but that webpage is enough to induce siezures. Good luck with that thing and hope to see some dynosheets (baseline vs. electric turbo thingy)

It's funny how people think that blowing air into an engine will give you more hp, but don't think about how much air the engine is sucking in at different rpm. Sure, at WOT his blower thing MAY overcome some of the vacuum, but it surely won't put boost numbers up.

You keep saying "Gone" but you keep coming back. I'm still waiting on those CFM numbers, and how you came to that number. Until then, you are still full of shit, your idea is still not going to work, and you still sell park bench wings to Civic owners.

Of course, you still have yet to address ANY of the fuel requirements if your idea DOES actually produce any sort of positive pressure. Whatcha gonna do when your car fuel cuts at idle? How about a giant oxygen tank in the hatch! Run a line to the TB and just smack the valve with a hammer when the light turns green. 150psi or more of PURE oxygen rammed into the intake mani when you need it most. That would be awesome.

I think I'm going to go invent a machine that will mix fossil fuels with ambient air to create a combustable mixture which will be detonated to force pistons down, rotating some sort of shaft, which will be indirectly connected to drive wheels, making a vehicle move.
