I just thought I'd share what I did today after work. I totally replaced the power and ground harness from the battery.
 ...If you're wondering, that's 1 gauge wire. edit:URL if pic doesn't work: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/440224/7

4 gauge wire is pretty much too big, it just looks good. 1 gauge is nuts. if you really have some time try 0/0 gauge. lol. im pretty sure you are the only person in the world to ever do that. lol...

hehehe..I thought I'd get some laughs out of this one. One Pro, besides the smooth lines...It fixed my jumpy idle. Its a constant 900 rpms, and doesn't move!

Just a little note...everything is grounded, alot bigger, and it cost me $13.50 in materials. Oh yeah, This has new positive, and negative terminals(soldered in), AND bigger power wires to the starter and alternator. Thanks though. lol:P

how much did that cost/what exactly did you buy? Where does the line that runs to the left go?

Cost is for materials used on my car, I paid a little more for everything I have...but I have tons left. I bought the cable, battery terminals, heatshrink, ring terminals, solder. The line going left grounds through a bolt that runs through thetransmission bell housing and starter. -25 ft. black 1 ga. $12.50,my cost -25 ft. red 1 ga. $12.50,my cost -case of 25 3/8" hole ring terminals for 1 ga. $13.50,mycost -20" black heatshrink tube $? -20" red heatshrink tube $? -1 pound of heavy duty solder $10.00(Already had this) -2 solder-in negative terminals $6(these are nice, not weak like lead) -2 solder-in positive terminals $6

What is that T coming off of your - terminal? I don't think I have that?

People running in audio competitions have less than 0 AWG coming from their batteries.

That IS the terminal...You don't have it because you have to buy this, then solder it to BIG wire, and put it on.

Oh ok..
Another question... What did you do about the... lack of a better word... "Ends" ... That is... the part taht goes on the end of the wire that you bolt to the body... I was at a crappy hardware store yesterday, and first of all, they didnt have THICK enough cable... And secondly, the "ends" for fairly thick cable (I'd say the same thickness as the OE ground wire coming off of battery) cost like $7/pair!! For me to replicate one of the "overpriced" kits properly it would have cost at least 25-30 bucks... which kind of defeats the purpose of doing it myself..
Will I have better luck at home depot?

You mean the ring terminals? Those, I got for $13.50 for a box of 25 at NAPA...might be more expensive for you unless you know someone. I get their cost for parts because I know the owner. He goofed really bad with the wire though, but gave it to me cheap because it was his screw up. It should have cost $150 (List price) for both boxes(red and black), and I got it for less than $25!! Call Autozone/Napa...etc, and ask if they have/can get them. Good Luck. Oh, You need a torch, and solder to put these on, Crimping doesn't give as good a connection.

There are guys on here....Woodley, and DR1665 That make the kits, and sell them CHEAP. I would suggest going with them if you can't get the parts cheap, or even find them for that matter. Their kits are both really nice quality...better than anywhere else. It really is a pain in the ass to do...but I love a challenge. Thats why I bought my eclipse..lol. It's a new challenge to find out whats wrong, and fix it every week or two!

I mean like 10' or 20' of blue cable. I need something a little different than a grounding kit.
