I got mine from Discount auto parts in FL. If you dont have one by you, you can also order one online at www.discountautoparts.net. It will run about $45 for the waterpump. Also, if you are doing the job yourself, spend an extra $20 and get a 3 jawed puller cause you will need it to get behind the crankshaft pulley to remove the rear timing belt cover, just to get to the water pump.

Got mine at Napa. It was around 25.00 bucks if I remember right. You WILL need a core to give them though, because that price if after the core charge return..

yeah mine was about the same, bout 28 bucks from autozone lifetime warranty, no core charge though??? hmm odd... anyways also get the sealant for the waterpump, its in a tiny white jug w/ green liquid(from autozone, I am not sure about others) its like 1.99, but it could definately save your ass, very recommended. I only say that, b/c when a garage replaced the waterpump on my friends probe, and didnt use it (I know b/c josh brought the parts to them to use and he didnt buy it) he needed a new waterpump within a year, I'm not sayin that is the only reason, but the second time around, I did it for him (saved him 400 bucks, yeah 400 bucks for a waterpump install) I used it and its been going strong for about 3 years. g'luck

You DON'T use any sealant on the water pump. It comes with a special rubber gasket that fits around the pump into a grove. If that gasket is installed properly, it will never leak. You just have to be very careful when putting on the pump to the block, so that the gasket doesn't fall out, or get misaligned. Maybe put a very small dab of RTV on a few spots of the gasket so it keeps it on the pump without falling off..

Nah man, I dont mean gasket maker. It's called waterpump sealant, its a liquid you pour into your radiator after a new water pump install or a flush.

Ahh I see :) Well don't use that either haha. Seriously, if something is leaking, then something just isn't right somewhere. I really can't see how that sealer stuff is any good for the cooling syetem/block/head..but who knows..IMO, those are all band-aid fixes for a larger problem..

haha, yeah that may be true, but I will use it now, just b/c when josh's probe messed up w/o it and then was and still is fine w/ it, I just have faith in it.. but then again it could be like that stuff they try to sell you w/ everything. The battery terminal grease, the oil pan drain plug grease, the headbolt grease, rod bearing grease, its in a little package and all it is, is vasoline and food coloring haha, so reg petroleum jelly will work also. peace
