68178, Deal with slight cooling issues first, or rework fuel system and add boost??? Posted by GhEttOrAiD, Feb-10-04 06:56 PM
Well, I'm selling off some parts for a car I'm no longer going to purchase... Will leave me with around 500-550 bucks. This 500 will either go towards a Supra TT Fuel Pump/Some kind of fuel regulator/tuning (I already have some Venom 550CC injectors), and adding a llot more boost.
However, I do have a slight problem with my cooling system. When I sit in traffic for more than, say, ten minutes... Or if I'm driving on a particularly hot day, the thermostat will climb, hover around 3/4! (Requiring me to turn on heater and boil myself alive.) I currently have one working, one non-working FAL fan on my stock radiator. I'm going to get it flushed and see if this fixes the problem... but I'm not confident! I presume the solution to this would be either replacing the broken FAL fan, or getting a nice Fluidyne radiator...
Unforunately this'll destroy my budget, and with the tires I'm buying I won't be able to up my boost for a long while... Few months.
What does anyone think? Thanks in advance!
