today i go out and tap the turbo manifold for egt get done start the car up it starts fine then once the rpms drop down after the initial 2000 rev up the car is misfiring like a bitch cel flashing which means multiple misfire, and there is like a knocking noise coming from the engine, it isnt lifter tap its deeper and does go faster with rpm, now my question is say it is rod knock and i have a spun bearing would that make my car misfire, i wouldnt think it would so im kinda leaning towards it being something in the head thats busted and making hte noise and causing misfire, what do u think, btw i just changed my oil, 400 miles ago oil level is perfect and from what i can see on teh dipstick, its clean yet too. so wut do u all think it is. TIA

Did you drill your thermocouple into the valve cover? :+
Try to find where the noise is coming from, the block of the head. Listen to each one and find out where the noise is. Some people use a doctors stethascope(sp) to track down noises like that. I can usually figure it out without one. Find the noise and report back.

i thought about that but then they would just go through the exhaust, here is my thought tell me what u think, the car starts fine, and will idle fine until i hit the gas then it will stutter and die out and misfire like a bitch, but i noticed that the a/f gauge stays pinned right in the stoich section and never sweeps back n forth like it did b4. so wut im thinkin is maybe the metal shaving messed up the o2 sensor and the car is runnin really rich and maybe the noise which seems louder towards the firewall is the injectors being overworked, also my exhaust has alot of water and white smoke coming out of it but it doesnt smell ike coolant maybe the car is just running really rich, the oil has no coolant in it and the coolant level has not dropped at all in months and has no oil in it. before this though i was getting bad gas mileage, really bad so maybe the o2 was just on teh way out then, wut do u think of my idea. the only thing i cant figure out is the noise unless it is the injectors or maybe just a misfireing sound from being to rich??

is it possible that the injectors could be making that noise, if they are being overworked from the o2 sensor being bad, cuz it seems as if hte car is runnin very rich and the a/f gauge doensnt move
