How do I remove the injectors? My friend said they're under the intake manifold or somethin. So i believed him and i don't know how to get them out. Unless they aren't located there. I'm gettin 200 miles to my tank but that was before my spark plugs were changed, i don't know what i'm gonna end up with now. i'm gonna change my fuel filter soon.. but i'm really worried about my injectors.

i bought the car like last summer, and noticed that my mileage sucks and i figured they didn't change anything since the spark plugs were so hard to get out and burnt pretty bad. but i figured it's always good to have clean injectors, and i've run that whole injector cleaner stuff and of course it doesn't do much.

why do you say that....I've posted 20 times that....Begining of story .......When I fist bought my car I had shitty milage too. (like you). My dad owns his own shop and he immediately put my car through a serious injector clean. It as a Snap_On Carbon Clean system. it runs a Heavy Detergent Thruogh the whole fuel system clean out more carbon deposits than you EVAR! thought were there!.
Before I used to get like 200-2500 miles now I get like 350-400....prolly cost you like $100 bu well we=orth it....that shit in the bottle don';t do fuck all IMO...

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS start at the bottom and work your way up. GET A CHILTONS manual! if you dont even know where your injectors are are you sure you want to be tryinig to find the filter??? you DO NOT need to be rooting around trying to fix stuff you cant even find. always start at the bottom! fuel filter 10 bucks and 20-30 minutes, injectors 20-30 EACH and upwards of an hour IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TOOLS AND KNOW WHERE EVERYTHING IS!!!!!!
Get a manual my friend, it will save your ass!!!

While were on this topic, his question never got anwsered. How do you remove the injectors? Reason I ask is because I need to know how to remove the fuel rail and injectors. I know where all is located at, but I can't seem to figure out how to pop those clips off.

Bad fuel mileage is typically associated with a bad or failing O2 sensor.
Do you have an O2 meter? Does it bounce under partial throttle?
If you really need to remove the injectors, remove the L-bracket on the driver's side that's sort of in the way. Then, get your dremel out and cut off those tabs that sort of protrude out and in the way. You'll then have some room with which to work. Then you'll only have to deal with the two bolts holding the rail to the manifold. That's definitely the way to go! Much quicker and easier.

my O2 and stuff seems to be fine.. Right now i'm concerned about my filter and definitely fuel injectors. Because i changed my plugs and noticed a slight difference. If anyone lives in Central NJ and can hook me up with a Fuel Injector machine or somethin please tell. thanks guys

Call me a cynic. "Seems?"
How can you substantiate this? Do you have an O2 meter or a datalogger?

you have to unbolt the whole fuel rail (2 bolts) from the intake plenum, and pull threwhole thing up/out. then you can get to the injector clips much easier. they just pull/wiggle off.

if ur o2 sensor is dead you'll get about 150 miles a tank.

to remove injectors- there are 2 (8mm?) bolts holding the line to the rail, and two more (10mm) bolts on the underneath side of the rail that attach it to the manifold. then just lift out and remove clips (slide sideways with pliers) and injectors will pull out of the rail. They may be kinda hard though because of the o-rings, at least mine were anywayz.

i don't know for sure that my O2 sensor is fine, i get like 220 miles to the tank average, but i'm really concerned about my injectors, i bet the first person who owned this car didn't clean it or anything. The spark plugs were hard as hell to get out and burned like crazy. Same thought goes for a lot of other parts on this car. I.E. Fuel Filter
