How do I install the S-AFC in a 1995 Automatic Eclipse? The main pages link to the websites don't work. And I had one of them printed out from along time ago and it was for a 1997 Eclipse Manual tranny. Does anyone know how to install one on a '95 automatic? I really need some help!

Come to think about it, I dont think theres any difference on the auto/manual install, but dont quote me on that. Im pretty sure all it is is the power, ground, map, and 02 voltage (IF I remember correctly), some say something if Im not. The install though didnt take more than 20 mintues though.

I heard on 1995 Automatic Models the ECU harness is located behind the CD Player of the car. But I'm not shure. I'm just wondering what wires to splice into and where are they located at on a '95 a/t eclipse. Maybe Corbin knows?:shrug

The ECU and TCU are located next to each other in the engine bay. You will make all connections at the ECU. I have a 1995 ECU pin out list here:

Using the pin out list and the S-AFC instructions, you will certainly be able to install this. All of the wire colors from the 1997 instructions will be the same. The wire locations will change. I have a 1995 automatic and used to have the S-AFC, so I can lend further advice if necessary. Its just been a couple years...

Thanks, Corbin. What is the harness under the CD Player and HVAC area of the car? It looks like it runs straight from the ECU. Should I splice it there? Also, Corbin any advice would be great. If you have some sort of write up or anything that would be awsome. I just have points waiting for you.

Yellow wire with black strip. This should be pin 29 (I think. The wire color is right though).

I can't find the TPS Sensor Signal Wire. Its supposed to be the brown and red wire. I looked at pin 50('95 models) and 35. Its not there! Can anyone help me?

Go by wire colors. I've been saying this for years: The wire colors are the same across all year models. The pinouts don't matter. If you go strictly by pinout, you're going to fuck it up. Always go by color.

MAP - yellow with a black stripe.
TPS - brown with a red stripe.
Tach - solid white.
power - oversized black w/ white stripe.

If you want to do the blue wire mod...
O2 - white w/ black stripe

My problem is that I can't find the brown with red stripe wire. I'm looking so hard, but I can't find it. By the way I even checked the harness under the CD Player and still can't find it. Its like it was totally ripped out of my car.:shrug

It's there, you just have to dig for it. Keep looking, you'll find it.

Of course it's not going to be inside the car. It only runs from the throttle body to the ECU.

Wanna verify the color? Look at the harness at the TPS. See that brown wire wit the red stripe? There you go.
