Hey eveyrone. My girl is buying a 4g63 95 Talon TSI soon but it needs a new engine. The person ran it with out oil for a couple of miles. I know what your going to say, go to the 2 g board. Well im leaving for bootcamp soon and i dont feel like registering over their and stuff and them thinking im a noob. So if anyone can help me out thank you. I looked into FTY but some people in asec are having some problems and thier site is also down.

try a junkyard, dsmtrader.com

If you get a junkyard engine I would do the timing belt, water pump, headgasket and other gaskets and belts. It's unfortunate you cant do a compression test, unless the car runs but I doubt you will find that at a junkyard. Make sure you get a 6-bolt motor also. Good luck.

forget the junkyard, my friend bought two junkyard engines and both ended up being bad so he gave them back, and I live right near you so probably they will sell you the same ones lol

yea for another 500 i can get a new one from my job. But since the turbo is oiled and thier was no oil in the car im pretty sure that the car is going to need a turbo and the rebuilt engines from my job dont some with turbo's

If you can get an engine w/o a turbo, you can pick up a turbo on dsmtrader.com for like $150 or less. Id go that route if you can get a rebuilt engine for a decent price. If you buy a used engine you never know what youre gonna be getting :shrug
