Hehehe 175+15 shiping
Including bearings, rings, and rods of course...just inspected them and damm srt pistons are awesome compared to ours...friction coated side skirts....forged beaffy rods
Now quick question...should i ceramicoat the crown of the pistons...at 50 bucks a pop i see why not...and i beleive i should proceed to balance AFTER i coat....

dude, where did you get them from? I am interested. Thanx

Hey another 2.4 on the way :)
here's what they look like
coated skirt and you could see that the compression ring goes in a hardened metal insert
oil squirter at the base of the rod
excentric quench pad like the other second generation 2.4
and a beefy rod, still a powdered metal casting process but much thicker than a stock one

damn I want some... where did you get them from? and for that price

You could get at any chrysler dealers Call Bob Kise at Fenton Dodge for a discounted price
With the discount you could get the 4 pistons, 4 rods, 4 ring set and 4 rod bearings for under $200 total ! as stated in the first post

What are the comparison for those SRT piston/rods compared to our stock 2.0? and are they capable w/ a 2.0, and not a 2.4?

The Rods on an SRT 2.4 for a almost 6 inches long, the rods on a 2.0 are a little under 5 and half inches. The SRT rods are ok, I don't like the pistons because they are cast and not forged. They do have reinforced ring lands to an some additional strenght, but if your serious about making power don't use the stock pistons.

All this is very true.
However these internals are good for a solid 400WHP

What modifications will you have to do to get those to fit in there correctly? And how much HP have people made on these internals? I might be interested in this method, but not if i'll just have to swap them out to make more HP.

the could make over 400 WHp proven so far on 2 SRT-4 with stock internals
they don't need any modifications to fit as long as you understand that those are made for a 2.4 and they go in a 2.4 if you are thinking about a 2.0 forget it the rod is too long and the wrist pin is at the wrong location for a 2.0

Ohh well i got em from a fellow on the neons.org board...he bought em but i think hes selling all his performance stuff for his neon...
BTW Srt-4 guys are looking to break the 500 hp barrier....lets see if they crack some pistons in the process
And yah these pistons are perfect for my power goal of roundabouts 400whp

You can run 400 whp on stock 420A internals, but it leaves no margin for error. I have melted SRT pistons at 250 whp when something went lean or detonated at the wrong time (if there is a right time). Forged gives you a margin of error. If you are running the transplanted 2.4 in a 2GNT, then you are not running the level of factory control that the SRT is. That gives you more error.

415WHP ALL DAY LONG: with turbo kit on stock SRT4 internals
ANYTHING even forged will self destruct if not properly tuned, seriously though I'd pay money to see 400HP on stock 420a internals for more than 10mintes, fuck it 5 minutes.
True Forged has a greater margin for error but I would stand by those internals on 400HP all day. 450 I'd start to worry, 500 forget it

We did it and it ran for a month before the mix went lean and toasted a piston. Cool it with fuel and it will survive. We now have forged internals in that car.

All the talk about the 2.4 and 2.0^^^got me a little confused. Ok so yea scratch that idea. Thanks for the info.

The 2.4 is a tall deck block compared to the 2.0. The 2.0 is about 3/4 of an inch shorter than the 2.4 block. The 2.4 has a chain drive counter balanceshaft, this spaces out the belts more. There are two different oil pumps on the 2.4 which causes two different oil pans to exist.

you should modify this already existing part of yours and turn it into the engine support that we need to make the 2.4 swap less painfull we could manage the conversion of the oil pans, do the rewiring, even alternator bracket with a pt cruiser one this would solve the power steering and engine support nightmare

1.01" and the block is about an inch longer as well
