god what a long long day,

so i get down to the shop at about 1pm, ive been there all day preping the bay for drop in,

1st attempt, couldnt get the damn motor to go from the top, so we started tiltin and cocking and cockin the tranny still no dice.
this was never a problem with the 2.0 so, this realy discourages me.

2md attempt, im like fuck it, imma bolt the tranny to the engine. and i jack the car about 3.5 feet off the ground, sit the motor on the ground and shove it under the car, HA, dice. strap the motor back to the cherry picker and pull it from the bottom. some of the motor mounts wwas a bitch to line up, i spot the crossmember back in to place for the motor mount thats up against the front side of the tranny.

i have a stamped steel oil pan, rumours afloat the the 2.4 oil pan wont clear the crossmember, its a close and tight squeeze, but its no were near touching. the passenger side motor mount isnt completed yet, hopefully it will be fabbed bye the weekends out.

this bitch looks like a total dominating beast in the engine bay!

issues.... not many, some peeps say hood clearence a problem, clearin the hood is not a problem, as im using the 2.4 valve cover. the valve cover is no wear near close to the hood, the problem im had is the damn cam gears, but we notched a integrity section out of my hood to fix the problem, the motor and turbo clears the hood with flying colors now. overall it was fun and very rewarding, now for the hard part...... it has only begun, gettin the sensors and all the wires fuel pump, sfmu, oil return line tapped, etc etc, .

but i did manage to snap a couple of pix with this shitty camera phone

Remember the oil pan will clear the cross member but, you have to knoch it out so your dowm pipe dosent drag on the ground.

i just noticed the dyno info on your R1 widebody.. looks like you've done a bit of work to it to get numbers that high :thumbsup

torque was way down because the tune was all out of wack, the torque curve looked real shitty. shes running pig rich,after the tuneup for the spring, im hoping to see torque numbers close to 130is and hp around 175, and ill be happy, ive been cosidering throwing a shot of nitrous on it but im am uncertain of that yet.
