Does anybody know of the shifter cable bushings (not the shifter assembly floor bushings) are the same on the turbo and NT cars??

yeah they will work

stage 4 clutch, aluminum flywheel, solid motor mounts, Phantom grip, phantom boost, egt, a/f, oil psi, apexi TT, Jeep TB, Star stage 2 with custom 3 inch downpipe out passenger side bumper, custom ground kit, falcon azenis, 2 inch drop, eibach camber kit, crank scrapper,AEM cam gear, short shifter, AFX UDP and some other stuff

thanks, i did a search but only found the floor bushings. What is an o-ring spreader?

u should be able to get it at most advance auto parts or just hit up sears or something. it has two points that u put in the the small holes on the o-ring when u squeeze them closed they will pull the ring apart a little to allow u unseat the oring out of the groove it is sitting in. hope that helps

they are like pliers, but instead of compressing inward they spread outward

and yes it will work, a good mod if yours are worn or messed up. But you can also use some plastic inserts? someone mentioned getting that info from darkone. should be in that old post.

you can borrow my pair of split ring pliers!
i used it once to install the bushings then it just sits around looking pretty.

good mod though
just make sure you put the rings on!!!
i didnt and the cable slid off on the way home from work.:puke
luckly i could pull over and tap it back on again.

The cotter pin that holds the linkage on the pin should have held it all together... I decided against using the snap ring, since I didn't have snap ring pliers with me when I installed them...
