power steering, air conditioning, and crank.. thas why i said the plural form of pulley.

crankshaft pulley = 45 ft/lb
power steering = 29 ft/lbs

My manual says 105 ft/lbs. on the crank pulley.

pulleys:

idler pulley, tensioner pulley, crank pulley, etc... be more specific next time.


water pump pulley = 6.5 ft-lbs
crankshaft pulley = 105 ft-lbs

got that from chiltons ^^

thas what i meant.. i dont want to sound like a dick or anything but it just seems that all you want to do is bag on everyone when i need help from you guys.. so next time help out instead of dissin' us.

and thanks to all you guys for the info.. but what about the idler and tensioner?

I'm not being sarcastic but I'd invest in the Chilton book....
So much usefull info... especially all the torque settings..

Chulton book number 50400 if you need to know...

Oops, I was looking at a diagram in the service manual and glanced at an incorrect number------>> crank pulley = 105 ft.lbs :D

So, just to double check. According to Chiltons,

Tensioner pulley bolt = 30 ft lbs
Idler pulley = ?

I have the Chiltons manual along with the Haynes and cannot find the value for the Idler pulley.

I can't find any of these numbers in the chiltons. what page is this on???

Idler pulley should be 30 ft.lbs.

Chilton's starting on pg 3-101, lists torque specs for the engine.

It doesn't mention it, but do you guys put either threadlocker or anti-seize on the bolt threads.

put that shit on ther bolts you dont plan on taking off for awhile (i doubt you plan on taking off the idler pulley bolt, etc anytime soon) and DEFINATELY the flywheel bolts and whatnot, use your head.

gimme a break dude, i meant the best. you just need to be more descriptive in your threads though or else the first reply cant help you, you know? i could have had the answers for you in one reply, but instead...i had to ask you to clarify. see my point?
