66012, Problem with my MSD DIS-2 Launch Controller
Posted by darosa4561, Jan-06-04 02:43 PM
Ok i cant figure out how to work this. I Ran the wire inside the cab ran it to my dash. ran the wire to a prong on the momentary switch. Then ran a wire from the other prong on the momentary switch to a screw. I set the stage reve limit to 4000rpm. Now when i press the button the car wont stay at 4000rpm it will slowly go past and if i drive with out the switch the car wont go past 5000rpm. The other switch works great when i switch it the car will never start. But im not sure whats wrong with this one. Maybe it getting grounded some where and i dont know. Maybe the ground its on now is not good enough or something. I dont get it. To solve the problem for now i swithc on SW1 S1 withces add 4000rpm so my stage rev limit is 8000rpm and my max is over 10,000rpm. What do you guys think help me out.

it wont work untill you key off and retart the car. also you have to hold it down, not just press it once. you hold it while your sitting there then let it go when you launch. are you on the blue wire?

I'd doubt check your dip switch settings. And make sure you are hooked up to a solid ground. You could be getting intermittent ground causeing MSD to pull ignition momentarily so you raise rpm slowly. raising as the MSD tries to catch up and slow down the engine.
