Someone lets make it official, does the AEM bypass valve go above or below the bend?

Straight from AEM's website:

"This valve installs on the intake pipe along the same axis as the throttle body"

You would think that would mean that the filter goes ABOVE the bend, right? But i've seen engine bay pics of eclipses that have it below the bend? Whats the deal?

as long as you put it where it will not get wet. I would install it above the bend. I would also put it where there was a few inches of straight pipe before it made the bend down.

why don't you people have the directions, it says as close to the t/b as possible and in a straight section, but allow at least a little clearence between throttle body

I dont have instructions but I saw how they installed it during a test on another car. It would have been before the bend downward. Dont see why it would matter as long as its above water level.
