so i installed my TT today, but i think i fucked up something. the car will not start. no starter noise or anything. so i disconnect the TT harness and i still get nothing with the stock. then i realized that i disconnected the ignition harness while the battery was still connected, so my alarm possibly locked me out. so i disconnect my battery so i can clear the ecu and i am still not getting any ignition! i am out of ideas.

EDIT: also, i have the Avital alarm system, for reference..

It osunds alarm related to me. What wiring did you touch? Did you splice into anything? Tell us everything you did and something might stand out as a possible problem.

the only thing that i did was unplug the stock ignition harness, plug in the new TT harness, route the ebrake wire around to the other side and spliced into that covered green and red wire that connects to that white plastic clip, then used a proper ground.

then when i realized that it didnt work, i reattached the stock igition clip. now, mind you that this all happened WHILE the battery was connected.

I'd give all yorru fuses a look, may have blown one while you were playing around with all your wiring.

also, i just thought about something. as all people know with STAR kits, the wastegate dump pipe opens up extremely close to the starter. could that heat from the wastegate have fried the starter?

I'm with Michael. You can completely disconnect the coil and it'll still crank. If you're getting a no crank condition, start at the battery and work your way from there. Check fuses, etc etc.

well, all the fuses checked out. so i think maybe the starter died.

what do you all think about scenario above about the wastegate?

Did you check the ignition/starter relay in the engine compartment? Also, do you have your car alarm manual? If it disabled your starter, then check out how to reset it. Does the starter click or turn over?

relay? i am not sure where that is....please let me know where i can find it!

also, according to the manual, the starter kill should only be engaged while the alarm is armed, so it shouldnt have to be reset. and just in case i disconnected the battery over night.

and, i got the starter itself tested, and it is ok. the starter doesn't click or turn over at all. there is NO noise.

so please let me know where i can find the ignition/starter relay.

i dont know if this will help, but it didnt sound like you pluged the stock ignition harness back into the tt harness

it goes stock harness -> stock harness

you then add tt harness like this.
stock harness -> tt harness -> stock harness.

i dont know whatelse this think of.

i removed the TT harness and am just running the stock. at this point i dont even care about the TT, i just want my car running...if you know what i mean.

but if someone could please tell me where the starter/ignition relay in the engine compartment is so i can check that out it would be helpful.

I don't have a scanner, but I'll try to explain:

If you remove the passenger side center console panel, there should be two relays under the radio--the driver side piece is the "door lock" relay, and the one to the right of that one is the "starter relay."

The relay prongs are numbered like this: 3 1
4 2

You'll need a continuity tester or a multimeter. There should be "continuity" between prongs 1&2 and 3&4. You can't tell if a relay is bad or not just by look at it. I'm just not really sure that this is the cause of your problem, but it's something to look into. Also, if your car comes with a factory alarm, there's also a "theft-alarm" starter relay. Under your dash in the driver side, there should be another "fuse" box. In it, there should be 4 relays; the lower right relay is what you need. Test procedure is the same as the above.

it was the stupid stock security system that i thought was disabled but actually wasnt.
