Is it normal for air to be traveling around the outside of the throttle rotor??? I just put on a 55mm body and now my Idle is anywhere from 1100-1700 Rpms..way too high, and I can hear a lot or air traveling around the throttle body plate.

Sounds like your throttle plate is too small or needs adjustment. Try adjusting the cable first.

hey bro, yep. throttle plate is not sealing good. just went through a long and drawn out process with mine. exact same problem. had to send it back to Howell for fixing. now it works great. just had another guy e-mail about the same problem as well. i think howell may be dropping the ball a bit on quality with the TB plate. if you can see light around the TB plate, thats most likely the issue, could be the o-rings around the sensors, but not if it idles correctly at a stand still. if the idle goes up with any forward motion (coast down a hill or just in neutral, not in gear)its air leaking around the plate. any other Q's let me know, i tried EVERYTHING before sending it back.

There may be a gap between the TB and TPS. I had to hack the bolts off the old TB (heads were completely stripped) and it may have shaved off a lil of the TPS housing causin a leak.. But I think that the main leak is the rotor cuz thats where all the noise is comin from.

Make sure everythign is tight and check the o-rings on the TPS and IAC if you pinched them it will mess up your idle. First time I installed mien I did that and was diling at about 3k rpm. Make sure the air isn't leaking somewhere first and check the sensors. If it is bad Howell will takeit back and fix it.
