Does anyone have either the MSD or the Screamin Demon coils that howell lists? Any problems with either? And did you get the wires suggested with each? Thanks in advance.

ya but they're hella cheaper than buyin a stock one :P
the screamin demon supposedly puts out more voltage for a better spark but i don't really know if it'll make any type of noticeable difference. if your stockers on the way out it will though... :thumbsup

Yeah, I figured. I think my stock one is on the way out. I'm having a stuttering issue and I'm just covering all of my bases. my mechanic friend suggested that it could be ignition related since it seemed to happen mostly during acceleration. I guess I just have to decide which one to get.

what year are you? just a little FYI, the MSD comes in both the 96-96 plug style as well as the 97+ style. the screamin demon only comes in the 97+ style. 95-96 wire harnesses are kinda ovalish with round pins whereas the 97+ is rectanular and has flat pins. make sure you order the correct one or have an available harness you can solder in if you wanna convert to a diff. style.

I have the MSD. It puts out more voltage than a stocker, it looks better, and it's $60 (oem is almost $80):-) I can't say that there's any noticeable performance gains, but then I also have a Crane ignition. If your stocker needs replacement, you can't beat it for $20 less:thumbsup
