Ok some day soon i will be getting a AF/X ECU now the Take off the EGR Cell. So does anyone make EGR Plates to block off the EGR ports. Thank

Mopar does. Do a search on google for Neon Mopar EGR plates. Should come up with plenty.

indeed we are... soon there will be no more CEL for either missign solenoid or insufficient flow. }(

Howell makes a plate kit. It didn't come with anything for the CEL, but I'm not too worried about that.

how about someone test the voltage going to the ECU from the EGR and throw in a resistor to makr the ECU think the egr is working? _________ 96 talon esi-t san clemente, ca

The whole problem with the ECU throwing a CEL is caused by two things.
1.) Firstly the ECU checks to see if the SGR solenoid is actually working, this is what you are fooling with a resistor.
2.) The ECU will close the IAC (Idle Air Controller) every now and again and open up the EGR valve at the same time. This makes sure the EGR valve is actually working.... so what happens when the EGR valve isnt there? Easy, the RPM of the motor will drop briefly, and then the ECU knows the EGR is not working... thus you get a CEL for it...
So whats the cure??? WEll in theory you just need to have the EGR solenoid sucking in fresh air instead of exhaust when the IAC is closed... I'm gonna try this at the weekend if I have time I think... should cure the CEL...

correct me if I'm wrong, but you are going to want to filter that right?

Maybe I'll try it this weekend.
