Everyone,

I have had a problem for a while, but it wasn't too bad. Sometimes during acceleration, specifically when not flooring the accelerator, my car will studder, sort of like fuel cut. Always just chalked it up to bad gas. Now I am thinking it is maybe the Throttle Position Sensor or even the Split Second FCD. Reason I am asking now is that the car today on the highway started to feel like fuel cut at light acceleration, resulting in a very boggy ride.

Anyone else experience this? How can I check the TPS or eliminate the FCD? My guess is disconnect the FCD, but then I can't replicate the problem under acceleration... Any other possibles? I was thinking injectors were clogged, but then the problem would been all the time, not intermittent. Thanks in advance.

if it was the tps you will have a cell for it and your idle rpms would fluctuate somewhat.Have you always had the hessitation problem? some things to check would be your vc1 (most go bad and we just get the missing link instead) your vaccum signal to the fmu under the car is not strong enough ( do you have that line teed off some other line? or is it directly connected to the manifold?)
Check the vaccum source (are you spitting out oil, i had a problem with oil going into the intake manifold and clogging the vaccum lines.

check those three things.. those will be a good starting point.

could be just bad spark plugs or wires or coil pack.
ignition problems act just like that.

I had similar problems and it was a cracked insulator on my spark plug

I used to experience this problem a lot before. It could be so many things. Do you get any CEL? If not, then I'd start checking the vacuum lines to make sure they're tightly secured and that it's not kinked and sharp bends. Then do basic ignition checks--plugs & cables. Since you have an FCD, try disconnecting it and do some light accelerations to see if it makes any difference. That should be plenty of things to look for first.;-)

Just found out my rough idle andsputter when I take off is due to a bad TPS...
