I just got my car back today with my brand spankin new engine. I was driving testin out the ghetto beast and it was running nice. First time i have actually chirped tires from a roll in my automatic kinda scary actually. But im driving then my Check engine light comes on. I'm like ohhh no =( what can it be this just sucks the balls. I'm hoping its something simple please god i havent had my car for 3 weeks and i just want it back =( even tho im getting rid of it soon. But driving the dakota r/t was not shabby either if i may say myself =). I mean the engine doesnt seem to have anything noticeable wrong with it idle is fine, compression good, i duno? Should i just take it back to the shop and ask them to break into it again if tho i dont want to =( want my car now! THANKS!

Yah, i tried turning car off and on but nothing. How do i see what code # it is? LOL do i need something special to see it im an idiot sorry =(. I was gonna try disconnecting battery the rehooking to see if it was just being stupid but haven't had time yet as i drove home at 2:00 am and have class in morn hehe. But how do i find out what code the CEL is?

keydance doesnt work in the 98's.

go to autozone and have them scan the codes. its free.

cels mean your car is fast IMO. probly nothin to worry about. ha ha. get it checked anyway just to be on the safe side.

HEHEH came up with cel p0132? lol It's o2 sensor or something i think. Maybe when i hydrolocked some water got in exhaust system? I dont know bringing it back to the shop to get a diagnoistic tommorow wish me GL :o

o2 sensor circuit high voltage (sensor 1, bank 1)- the upstream sensor in your downpipe..could be bad..or you are running to rich possibly under closed loop..

CELs are a DSMers best friend. downstream o2 is everyone's favorite (i guess). mine comes and goes.

It's being weird i know that =(. Like sometimes when i put it in park the engine like just keeps about dying and then goes back up it doesnt bounce that much but it goes anywhere from like 100 rpms to like 1k i dunno kinda scaring me. But in drive it doesn't to anything bad. But one time i was driving today and i hit the gas a bit and it just didnt do nothing then it finally did something. The guy at autozone guessed i was running really really rich thats what i thought don't know enough to tell yet =(.
