I refilled the water in my car today, and noticed it was coming out of the back of the block, above the rear of the headers. When I started it up, it pretty much emptied all of the water onto my driveway. I was driving it pretty hard last night, so I wouldn't be surprised if I did fuck somethin up, but I'd just like to get an idea of what I really did, to start fixing it. TIA

Check your heater hoses. They are on the driver side of the head, and lead into the firewall. Other possibilites are the freeze plugs on the back of the block, but those would leak slowly over time...

I checked the heater hoses, and it didn't look like that was the problem. Where is the freeze plug located? Also, while I was driving it hard, the welds on the test pipe by the back of the headers blew off. I don't know if this could have anything to do with it. Anyways, TIA again.

Mine leaks intermittenly from the back (water that is). Think its a freeze plug?

:o . kinda sounds like F&F. gotta watch those welds on the intake.:+

i had the same problem.. my heater hose bursted.. put water and then watch where the water pours out.. thas what i did.. but im still trying to replace that heater hose but everything is in the way.. any suggestions on how to fix it?

You will need to remove the intake, battery, and then it's down to how much room you need to work with (you should be able to get them with just these removed).

Removing the intake manifold will give you a lot of room to work with. As well as removing the battery tray, windshield washer resivor, etc...

Next to the EGR line if you still have it on. Follow the solid line that goes from the thermostat housing to the drivers side of the head. Its probably not your HG if its leaking from the back so you can rule that out.
