Well I have checked the fuse and it was fine, now i have no clue on what it is. Plus my tail light is out and i have replaced the bulb and still nothing. It is only the right side though. I am have some kind of electrical problem. :shrug I dont know where to start on it. I have taken out the taillight to see if there was some kind of loose connection and it is all fine. I have checked the fuse and it is fine. Even checked under the hood and they are all fine. I am out of answers on this one. What else could it be? TIA

Hmmm....

I say start popping interior trim panels out of the hatch. A lot of those wires run around and next to metal stand offs and brackets. Your harness could have a fray which shorts out the bulb? Dunno on this one...

I dont have any trim due to having a huge system. I had to take it out. I looked and couldnt find any freys. It is weird, what it will do is when i turn the lights on, it works, but when i hit the blinker it flashes really fast. This is weird. well on top of it all, my temp gauge broke last night as well :shrug when it rains it pours!

it going fast means that the voltage it uses is too low meaning a bulb is burnt out or not connected...

Yes, I know this but i have checked out all the bulbs and they are all working fine, I have replaced both the back ones and the one still flashes really fast. Now my boom is acting up. Maybe i have some kind of lose connection with that, i dont know :shrug Its all good, i just spent out 140 on the wifes car with a new radiator, oil change and crap!

I know exactly how you feel! My sisters boyfriend came to me tonight (a mustang)to help him w/ the EXACT SAME prob! NO CLUE??? All fuses are good...even changed all the bulbs out...front is blank and rear flashes fast...I usually see this at work, and it ends up being a blown bulb...not this one???

You say you have a huge system? Check your ground wire. I had an almost Identical problem in an 87 escort. The Ground wire was too close to the local ground for the tail light and it would blow the bulb and the fuse everytime the bass hit. But it didn't kill the radio or system at all.

its not the ground, one is located on the spring and the other is on the other one, i dont think that is what it is, but i am going to double check tomorrow at work (if it is slow that is). Hopefully i can fix it.

if you are not using the exact bulbs specified for your application the lights will work but it will flash fast all bulbs must be 1157a etc specific to their application

actually They are 2057. I have replaced all the bulbs and still nothing. They arent blown. Still no clue.

I say its the ground wire running to the bulb holder assembly.

I had a similar problem where the ground wire wasn't making full contact inside of the bulb assembly (it just wraps around some metal and isn't solder on!) where my left taillight would be on fine when I had parking lights on, but when I pushed the brake the bulb would act like it was burnt out.

Solution: Look at the bulb assembly and fiddle with the wire....you might end up having to reground it - I had to push one ground in farther (it backed out somehow) and for the other side I had to wire the ground to the bottom of the bulb (hard to explain.)

I took apart the taillight assembly on the inside with all the wires, and redid them. I also check out and replaced all fuses inside and outside the car and now they work. for some reason, it worked and then it started flashing fast again, but i replaced both bulbs and now it works. The cigar lighter works again as well. Weird? :shrug All is good, now if i can figure out what is wrong with the clutch, all will be good!
