I need it for the electric supercharger thing. don't ask. I know it won't work and all that stuff. I have heard it all. Just remember the name R1 Turvo. Spelled wrong on purpose. I already have mine working and all enclosed in a fiberglass intake. Looks really professional, unlike the e-ram thing. I have felt one of those, and its really heavy and ugly. (Rubber plumming stuff from home depot) Plus doesn't work. On mine I just need more juice now, it is putting 2 psi at 5500 rpm on a 97 eclipse RS. I am pulling 66 amps at 13.3 volts. I thought about the stereo capacitors, but decided a better alternator may be the option. Thanks for everyones help. I will keep in touch and let you know. I have plans to put a short film of the car on the dyno and 1/4 runs, on the internet so everyone will be able to see it work.

Here we go. told you I've heard it all. Even though they might not work like a normal turbo, they sure are making people a lot of money selling them. Now the question is it stupid, or really smart??? Hmmm. Tell the guy who sells E-ram he's stupid. he will show you his money.

wait wait wait....

are you implying that you plan to SELL these units, fully knowing they wont work? if so, why not just use a less demading (and cheaper) parts? just a guess, but the niche market of people who will buy "electric turbos" dont want to spend a lot of money on thier performence upgrades.

im not critisizing or anything, im sure you could make a bunch of money selling that kind of thing. just dont sell it for 2gnts, we dont need a million questions about why it isnt working here. ;)

No, I am saying mine does work, and I will have proof of it. The whole reason I said I know it won't work, was being sarcastic. I have heard it all. It will push in hot air, it will not really put pressure, stuff like that. I wanted to avoid all of this. That is why I knew i should have just asked about the alternator and left it at that. But i am not coming out with alot of info about it right now. I want to have a dyno run and 1/4 mile infront of all the local DSMers, so people can't say i cheated or something. I am saying that I already have it on my best friends 2gnt, and it is putting out 2 psi from 4000 to red line, and you can feel a lot of difference. I am also saying that when I have it hooked up and not on the intake, I feel the loss in power when it kicks on at 4000 rpm. (Working against eachother) I want to have no loss in power, that is why i wanted to test a high output Alternator. If I have no loss in power from the draw, and can still put out the 2 psi, or more. I will have everything accomplished of what i set out to. And it looks like a normal cold air intake, clean and smooth in finish, not a bunch of things put together. Cool. thanks for the honest questions though.
