I have a 96 gs and it has 140,000 miles on it and it is smoking when you cank it smoke a little but when you run it and then stop and it is ideling it will all of a sudden start smoking a greyish white smoke.....but had a guy look at it and the valve cover was leaking oil and he tightened it up and he said if that doesn't work it will be your head gasket..... and i want to know what i need to do before i start spending money that i don't have....so any kind of help would be great...:shrug

Is it smoking under the hood or out of the exaust? If it is out of the exaust and the smoke has a slight blue tint to it, I would say valve seals.

it is from the exhaust....if it is the valve seals what do i need to do to fix it.....and about how much you think it would cost...sorry i am a a newbi

u can do it urself for about 15-20 bucks...or you could take it to a place like pep boys and they can do it for you for 40$...either way, replace the seals AND the valve cover gasket..i had that problem with my 95 RS-T..hope this helps..:thumbsup
