We just did a compression test on my engine. and straight across it was 240. any suggestions? the head was milled due to warpage.

Uh neither, i was just wandering if it will hurt anyhting. what kind of octane should i run? any other suggestions

You're fine. How much was it milled? if it was only .010 or so (normal for mild warping or a resurface job) then i'd continue to treat it like it was stock. However, if you want to get the most out of it (depending on how much metal was removed from the head surface) you might want to try 89 or 93 octane fuel.

Hey guys Greg is over here at my place, we did the compression test earlier and I wanted you guys to hear the idle and the engine. There are some odd noises from the engine bay, and the exhaust is so incredibly lumpy. Muscle car like. Sounds wicked. Here's the sound clip:

It definately has a pronouced lope at idle. Without visual feedback, i can't tell you what any of the various ticks and rattles were.

dude!! I wanna adjust my cams so it does that! :thumbsup :bowdown

and, for whatever it's worth, I've always run atleast 89 octane in most vehicles. my neon hated regular (87), and would not run on mobil... go figure.
