Hey all, I haven't started my 2gnt up for a couple months, and just did it last night. The exhaust felt a little moist, and there was a little water dripping down from the muffler. Is this normal? It was about 50 degrees out, and I didn't really wait for the car to warm up to full operating temperature. I just started it and let it idle for a couple minutes, and revved it to 2500 to 3000 rpms. Thanks.

Might just be condensation I wouldn't worry about it.

Water is a natural by product of the catalyst process too. There's always moisture coming out. That's why in the winter you can see all that 'fog' from your exhaust. The reason it was in liquid form was your exhaust was still cold, so the water vapors were cooling down into water and then being pushed out by exhaust flow.

Thanks guys. Good to know it's normal. I just remember back in the day my friend was selling his Acura Legend, and the buyer's mechanic claimed it had a head gasket leak because the exhaust had some moisture (if you put your hand where the muffler is, it would get moist). Is that true? In his case, the car has fully warm in the summer.
