62374, neg battery terminal connection needs to be replaced. how? Posted by Mystic511, Oct-30-03 06:46 PM
My negative battery terminal completely crapped. I tried cleaning off the corrosion, but it keeps coming back... now it won't even sit on the terminal tightly. Sometimes the car won't even start unless i mess with it.
I'm not sure how to replace it. Do you just buy the metal piece and swap them or do you have to buy a whole new wire? I don't even know where it leads to.
So is this a hard process or a pretty easy one? I'm in the middle of re-inspection too, so i'd rather not take the chance of the car not starting when they go to do their inspection thing.

just go buy one from any autoparts store. Take out your battery, Unbolt the old one bolt on the new one. done.

AutoZone carries those ground straps. They'll hook it up for you and you'll be running right in no time.
But yeah, get some of that terminal cleaner and stuff to keep em clean mang! :P
