I am looking to get a 3" turbo back exhaust and I so far cannot find a place that does mandrel bending. How much flow and hp diff. is there between the two. Let me know cause I do not want to settle on a inferior setup that might hold me back. Depending on your turbo set-up, you wont be able to get a 3in downpipe in there. you may have to settle for a 2.5in downpipe into a 3in cat-back with high flow cat.
press bent pipe is to mandrel bent pipe as sandpaper hand job is velvety smooth love box!!! :)
You can buy the mandrel sections from JC whitney for low $$ and have a custom downpipe made. thats what i did on mine. works awesome.

So you can get pre bent pieces and have straight peices welded to them. Is that what you are saying you did? So do you still have the small pipe coming out of the turbo or did you get that from JC? Yeah, you prob will not want 3" coming out from the turbo, you cant really fit it. It may be possible if you dont have the A/C comressor there though, but, the outlet of the turbo is only 2", so mating a 3" pipe to it, prob wont be very benificial over a 2.5". Its also harder to find flanges and stuff for 3" piping. 2.5" piping from the turbo, all the way to the cat, should be plenty to run lots of HP. You can then use 3" from the cat back if you wish. Keeping a sightly smaller diameter pipe from the turbo, helps keep a bit of velocity of the exhaust gases. Oh and yeah, mandrel bends is the only way to go!

i was able to fit three right off the turbo but had to use allen head bolts to make it work its real real tight. But as tim said just order from jc whitney i was able to make mine for 80 bucks. I think a flange cost around 30 and i used a axle nut "not sure what size" to make the spot for the O2 sensor. stage 4 clutch, aluminum flywheel, solid motor mounts, Phantom grip, phantom boost, egt, a/f, oil psi, apexi TT, Jeep TB, Star stage 2 with custom 3 inch downpipe out passenger side bumper, custom ground kit, falcon azenis, 2 inch drop, eibach camber kit, crank scrapper,AEM cam gear, short shifter, AFX UDP and some other stuff
