61659, Sensor in my rad overflow??? Posted by Blizare, Oct-16-03 06:28 PM
like the above question states....my light started to flicker on me today. Car was still cool so I pulled over and popped the rad. It was in need of a little bit of fluid so I topped it up. But the light is still on. Theres nothing in the overflow but I didn't think there needed to be any fluid in there. Can someone tell me whats going on here. Probably something stupid.. :P

here's what i do...
have a jug of coolant with me... i drive to where ever i need to go, add some coolant to the overflow tank, if the radiator needs more coolant then it will draw it from the overflow tank. then go somewhere else, add more coolant if it was all drawn from the overflow tank. if coolant is still left in the tank then add a little more and you'll be good. basically keep doing that until little/no coolant is being drawn from the tank. that should do it for you.:thumbsup
