I've seen on here 100's of times to use a hotter plug for a na. Can somone explain to me why I should do this and what are the benefits.

I have one step hotter plugs in mine. Where we run rich from the factory it just helps to burn the fuel more completely.

^^^ especially if you do a lot of in-town, city driving. (short trips) ;)

NGK. BKR5E-11 STOCK NO.6953 is what U should look for. Try Napa auto parts they seem to have them in stock.

our cars run rich from the factory? is it normal for my A/f guage (the blinky light one) to go all the way down to as lean as it will register when i let off the gas? would this be safe with hotter plugs, i dont want detonation...

Cool, I figured that was the case. If you go lean after letting off the gas I wouldn't use a hotter plug. Seems to me that if would just compound your problem. A hotter plug will burn more fuel, thus pmaking it leaner.Thanks for the help guys. TKI you still goin to the street fights on fri? I should be there, I'll look for ya.

That's normal, really the only thing that matters is what your gauge reads at WOT.
