Has anyone ever heard of a throttle body spacer? This is what it looks
like:

Claims to increase horsepower, torque and gas mileage. Gimme some feedback on what it might be worth and all and if its really worth anything.

Reminds me of something like the tornado...

I heard it's not worth it, but I forgot the reason why

ehhh, ive heard good and bad things about them..... theyre supposively supposed to swirl the air as it comes in helping it somehow, i think it might help very little, but nothing worth what they usually want for it....but if you get it, deff. let us know how it is..

Im thinking about gettting it. Well, imagine if you had the throttle body spacer with a tornado and cool air intake? -haha. you wouldnt have to worry about enough air

The spacer probably will not do a damn thing. The t.b. spacer comes from the carb spacer idea Inwitch if you raise the carb off the intake manifold an inch or more you will allow the fuel coming from the carb to addomize more with the air creating a faster burn and more power. Also on a carb spacer your also raising it off of the direct manifold heat for a slightly cooler mix of fuel.

As for the throttle body spacer all you do is move the throttle body out. The fuel is being added by the injectors not the t.b. so it's not doing crap. You also cant upgrade to a bigger t.b. with a spacer. Dont waist your cash spend a little more money for a t.b. if you want more air.

I've got a performance bouquet of flowers that adds 10% more spring fresh scent. It improves macking on the hoes 50% and only costs $350. Buy one now. :wary

the TBS was brought up a while ago on here.... skrilla dynoed one and it showed no gain in performance.. in fact i think that it lost some tq. that was dynoed on a stock 2gnt.

i will however go in this performance bouquet tho! mark me down for one. :cheers

one word... pointless. and did you see how much they're asking for them on ebay... like $85! that's rediculous! at the moment i can't think of a better waste of $85.

If you want a tb spacer get a thick piece of ABS plastic, take off your tb, trace it to your plastic, mark out drill holes, and cut that bitch out. Then use two gaskets to put it in.

It'll cost you maybe $15 to realize that the $85 one won't do shit.

do a search on an intake manifold spacer insulator here, you should look into that more than a TB Spacer. i forgot the website but it's been discussed here.

wouldnt the spacer create a problem with mounting of the CAI by placing it closer to the battery tray?

HAHAAH ^^^ Thank you!

Seriously, this is like Motofool's Magnus ripoff intake. Did you pop open your hood and look at it for 2 seconds? There's hardly enough room for a stock intake pipe in there, let alone an extra 1" spacer. :+

Props to BS0D (and Mototool) for suggesting new parts & ideas though, it's appreciated.

Okay, I'll do a group buy. I need to receive money from 15 people. Then, I'll sit on it for 3 weeks while one of the guys needs a hoe macking fresh scent flowers by this weekend. He'll get frustrated, and constantly post on 2gnt about not receiving his hoe macking fresh scent flowers, and I'll ignore him. After the weekend, I'll write back to him using improper grammar. Then, after I've made money by sitting on yours for months, I'll refund it one by one as I cash in the stocks that I purchased with your cash. :thumbsup
