when people usually sell the full gst exhaust, is it from the cat back? Im looking to get one but i wanna get the whole thing.

It's from cat back considering most people with N/T's can't use the Turbo Downpipe.

The tubing from the cat back is the same diameter and therefore probably not worth getting unless there is something wrong with your (rust or whatever). If there is nothing wrong with your tubing just get the muffler they're like 40 from the junk yard.

well said. the piping diameter is the same, you want the axelback piece, its bolts up to our stock piping. :thumbsup

so basically if I were to get a stock GS-T catback exhaust I could only get it up to the axleback since some say that the downpipe wont fit the NT...I got a GS and was thinking about a GS-T catback...I'm just a little confused...some say you could use the whole thing some say you cant...just need clarity, thanks.

Well let me clear this up for you... You can get the full exhaust if you want, but your wasting your money, because you only need the rear section of the exhaust (i.e. axelback piece connected to the muffler) which bolts directly up to your stock exhaust making it a simple but worthwhile mod.... Unlike me who had to make his own piping and weld the his aftermarkter muffler on and now that sucka squeaks and rattles because it doesnt have the factory exhaust hook ups, trust me, just get the gst rear section, if i didnt like how my muffler rattled my interior pieces at about 3200RPM up I would, but I like loud noises! :thumbsup to lettin em know your comin :bowdown

The GST cat back bolts right up to the GS/RS. They are almost the same. The differences are:
1) The muffler has a dual outlet
2) There is an extra ~6 inch resonator in the mid pipe.

I run the GST catback with no cat and I like it. Nice sound. I've had it for a while, but I think mine was $40. If you plan on using no/hollow/high flow cat then you may want to get the full cat back for the extra resonator. Our exhaust tends to get a bit raspy when you take the cat off and the resonator helps mellow it out. If you're gonna keep a stock/stockish/restrictive cat on it - then you may want to only get the axle back.

Some people have noticed that the stock gst muffler has a 3 bolt flange at the end of the pipe vs. the 2 bolt flange on a stock rs muffler. Can someone varify this?
