I just got my Greddy header in the mail for my 420A, and for what I paid for it, it better be nice. ($390.00) For all the people out there who have put this header in themselves, was fitment an issue? Am I going to have to shave anything down in order to make it fit like the pacesetter header? Also, how do you like it? I know Im not gonna be gettin any major power gains, but are you pleased with its performance?

ive had my greddy header for a couple of months now....
the fitment was perfect, no issues there, it looks tight, no issues there

it gives the exhaust a better and louder sound

but performance wise, i noticed hardly anything
pulls a LITTLE more from like 3.5 up but thats on my car
i have an iceman intake (best performance mod ive done)
thermal r&d catback and 2.5 test pipe
and of course the greddy header

if you are just going for performance i would say its not worth it
if you're going for looks/sound/what not i would say its definately worth it

back when i had the greddy header, there was no fitment issues. as far as performance gains, it was hard to tell.. b/c i had my cai and exhaust put on all at the same time. you will see slight gains, but nothing spectacular. the only thing i would say is.. wear some glove putting it on... try not to touch the header with anything dirty (or even your skin)... b/c of the heat, the header turns color to a purplish color.

I just put on an OBX 4-1 Race header on my 95 Eclipse RS and they said it was pretty much GReddy, but just at a cheaper price. I paid $200 and that included shipping. And, from what i hear- it's done for me everything that a GReddy has done for others. It bolted right up... i got help on how to put it on from this forum. I got some horsepower gains, i also have an OBX cat back system and it made it sound a bit deeper.

Also they're right, if you want a picture of it all 'pretty' and chrome, take a picture after its on because it dont take anything for it to change colors.

btw; it took me and my friend about 45 min. to change it out.

I'm calling BS on the 45 minutes to install a header. Go look into a stock engine bay. They exhaust manifold and all the heat shielding have a lot of bolts placed in hard to reach places. Personally, it took me close to 2hours to install it myself and I had air tools. I admit I wasn't trying to rush through but I didn't waste much time either. The header is a nice performance gain if you are going to stay NA. I've been running it for close to a year now with no problems. Just be prepared to spend some time with it as the stock stuff is a little harder to get off than you'd expect. Also, be sure to get the proper torque specs for the studs so they don't work themselves out too soon. You will also want some "break away" or other rust remover/loosing agent. I would also recommend retorqueing the bolts about 2 days after you install to make sure u have no leaks. Goodluck. If you want pics I have plenty, hit me up one AIM. :thumbsup

Say what you want, all i know is that it took longer to install the cat-back than the header. It seriously only too like 45 min. and its not like we rushed either. Keep in mind, more than one person was working on it. What, it takes like 2 minutes to take off the heat shield!?! Its all bolt on- theres nothing much to it at all. I mean it just takes what it takes. Im sure it would have taken longer if you were less mechanically enclined or one person working on it. So who knows. Bottom line though- good header :)

maybe your engine bays are just cooler than mine. LOL. either way, as you said, "good header". :cheers

I took mine off in 15 minutes WOOT WOOT. but i didnt have a radiator in so it made it simple to get to all the bolts.

my greddy header was a easy bolt on. but as far as performance not worth the price.
