Hey guys, yeah so whenever I start up my car and rev it theres a strange rattling noise coming from underneath the hood. Its pissing me off and its only when I rev or accelerate and then when I shut off the car theres a very faint wheezing noise like an animal dieing for like a second. Does anyone have any idea what this can be? Thanks

can you place where the sound is coming from? work the throttle from under the hood, if you can... you might have a loose heat shield on the header, it may make the same noise if you tap the shield with a hammer. or, you may have gotten a hole in it as well. does sound like something in the exhaust, though.

yup.. here is an idea, get up, get under the car and look for lose heatsheilds and exhaust leaks. Without effort my friend.. you won't get very far..

Does it go away when you disengage(push it in) the clutch? The rattling can be lots of things. As others have said, check all the heat shielding from your exhaust. If the noise goes away when you push in the clutch pedal then it's coming from either you clutch or your transmission; it would either be your throw out bearing or your input shaft bearing. The whining when you shut off the engine is probably from one of you accessorie belts.
