After hitting something in the road, my oil pan was punctured... drained out all my oil... and seized my engine. This was covered in my insurance and I'll be getting a check for a new engine soon. My question to everyone here is, which engine swaps work on our cars? I have an automatic tranny so I'm wondering what all I'd need from the other car. Please help me out here, since I don't know what will fit but I'd definitely like some more power. Would the engine from the 3000GT work? I'd appreciate any input from anyone who can help me out here.

i would probably go with a 420a.

I'm pretty sure this was discussed a few times. Do a search for it, pretty sure you'll find what ya need. But yea, go with the 420. Can't go wrong with that haha :thumbsup

mm no offense but we are not a honda = no engine swaps

now if u are serious about building a good strong motor use the search function to find alot of GREAT information about vtengines/fasterthanyou and Howell engines. There are a few others around here with good reps. All motor is not easy but fun and unique. IMO 2.2L stroker kit from FTY with 10.5:1 compression and a nice lil bit of head upgrades would be sweet. There are alot of options sticking with the 420A, forget all the swap crap! Our engines rock and there is SOOO much room for improvement, thanks to Chrysler for that.

I second the reccomendation of the 2.2L Stroker from fasterthanyou.com it seems to be a very well put together piece and it drops right in like your current engine. You have the option of going 10:1 compression if you want to stay naturally aspirated or you can get 8.8:1 compression if you plan on going turbo in the near future. This would be the ideal swap for you especially since it's covered, and it's the same motor.
