Im tryin to do a lil research on the cheapest price I can find like Je pistons, eagle rods, clevite bearings, arp studs, mopar gaskets, melings oil pump, stuff like that. I tried Jegs, but gave up cuz they dont carry it for the 420a, well didnt see it listed anyways. Just wondeirng if you guys knew of any sites or good places?

Howell sells a bottem end kit for $1099 but their pistons are 8.6 i want 8.8

How are those felpro gaskets to Mopar front and rear seal? Also are the rings included with the pistons? All thats missing from that is the studs..what about those

the felpro is a nice gasket set the mopars cost the same just takes me 1-3 weeks for them to arrive when fenton is out of stock was too much hassle and i actually like the felpro a bit better..


now why would a sell a bottom end kit without rings that would suck not having a working motor....

summit has better prices on arp then i do i cant buy as much as them...

from a few buds of mine who ordered 1st from howell, for the bottom end kit with the je 8.6 pistons, and then ordered the je pistons from hrc 8.8 both are the same exact things.

Hmmm...you got me all anxious and feeling evil inside now lol...I was talking to your bro, and I said I might come over Friday...is that cool with you? You get off work at what 4? Im thinking i might get my maching work done at napa...not unless you know where else to go? Matt told me about napa...and i just so happen to have a good freind that works there, so we'll see what price he gives me for a .020 bore,hone, balance, blueprint, and resurface.....but man...I cant wait to do this...im probably just gonna end up buying the bottem end kit from Bill. Still want to try and do atleast a stg 1 turbo kit at the same time to take advantage of this low compression.

Machine work will probably include bore and hone with torque plate, deck block, clean block, magnaflux, remove and replace freeze and galley plugs, check align bore, and clean and polish crankshaft. We'll balance the internals and blueprint the assembly ourselves... sound good?

Friday night I'm going to the DMB concert at Amsouth Amplitheatre. Saturday would be good I think. I get off work at 3:00 in Brentwood.

I think we'll be okay to use standard size bearings... gotta check that crank though.

How much is the bottom end kit from Bill? We may be better off buying local... I have a guy that can get me great deals on 420A internals. I can get MOPAR gaskets within 24 hours at discount cost. And ARP head studs... main studs aren't a big deal but we can use them if you want.

We need to talk dude... I'll let you know if Saturday is okay.
