Hey guys, I was just wondering if any of you have had the same problem I'm having now. My battery light is on but everything seems to be fine. I checked my battery and it's good and charging. I checked my alternator and that's also doing very well. Then I thought it must be the connector and I changed that but the battery light still stays on. It's been going on for almost a month and it's very irritating. Any ideas?

How did you check the alternator?

Did you have it checked at Autozone on their tester?

My 1G made weird lights come on for a while just before the alt. went out... dunno if it'd be the same on a 2G

I went to my mechanic's place to have it all checked out. I'm not sure if he tested it with that tester thingy but I don't think it's my alternator cause I just changed it to a new one less than a year ago.

just test the cars voltage when its on...it should be somewhere in the 13's or 14's...then you know its not the alternator

I had this happen to me earlier in the year. I couldn't find it. I thought maybe my belts, I had them tighten, still. I had my battery tested nothing. I almost spent the money on a new alternator had I not gone to a guy that test them. He looked at my battery connections, pulled out a meter, and tested the connections. Noticed that I was having a bad contact with volts jumping all over the place. He got me a whole new bolt assembly and cleaned the terminals. From then on, the light went away. So do that and start with the easy route before you go and make a big $$$ mistake. :thumbsup

You got any aftermarket system setup? I had that problem when I had a sub and amp hooked up intermitengly. Check all your connections to the battery and deff take it to autozone to have them check it out for free.
