just got back from the muffler shop (after going to every autoparts store lookin for flanges, carquest wanted $12.00 for just 1!!!) and i explained to the owner what i was doing, for the track only of course, and he was like, "Man, customers all day have been nothing but assholes around here, tell ya what, u seem like a nice guy, hows $5 for both sound?" i was so happy!!! he even gave me a can of 1500degree spray enamel so it wont rust!! see, it pays to be nice to people. this shop will get my business, and anyone i can reccomend for life. im getting it welded up on saturday, ill have pics by the end of the weekend.

damn dude where'd u get that?!? also if i took out the cat i know it would sound raspy and shitty but if i put that in would it sound how it does with the cat on?

Those "high flow cats" sold off Ebay are just resonators. And they sound raspy ass heLL!

thats also ebay quality resonators that your talkin about, you get what you pay for. id trust dynomax better than some pos on ebay. oh and i got the resonator from NAPA of all places. was 37.99 just ask them for the dynomax bullet resonator i believe its part #24215.

i think every 4, i may be wrong, but thats why im still saving the stock cat. and law is in illinois, 96+cars with obdII as long as i dont have a cel, i wont get sniffer tested, i already have a resistor inline to my rear o2 so no cels for me.

I have Howells purple horney muffler in place of my cat, and I love it. it totally eliminated resonance inside the cab. however, it did quit my exhaust a bit, but nice though.

Nope every 2 years. I got my notice last month to show up for my testing... this could be interesting...

ohhh hehehe how are you going to pass that mikey?

I need to repace my Tach Adpater on my ignition, hopefully that will clear up the in coil codes I'm getting.
I have a misfire code stored, which I think was my fault.
I have a cam position code, which I'm pretty sure was my fault.
^clear my OBD 2 and hope they don't come back (should be fixed?).

Then I have a MAP range code. If it's due to WOT tuning(which I realy don't have any yet). I need to fine tune some low throttle settings, want to ride around and watch the reading on my OBD2 when you come down, so I can tune some low throttle? WOT needs attention too, but that shouldn't kick emissions codes if I drive nice.
Then I can clear codes, hope they don't come back, and drive like a grandma over to the emissions place and pass with no codes, if they start sniffing around... we could have a problem.

michael, well take a look at the meet, maybe we can do some tuning in brians garage, as far as sniffing goes, by law they will not give a sniffer test as long as you have no codes, if you do fail, ill let you borrow my stock catylitic converter to temporarily replace ur hi-flo cat.

It's not a matter of catalytic converter... the high flow should clean it up okay. It's the ECU not dealing well with cams and porting and fuel mixture.

If I can't clear the codes I may have to switch back to stock cams, so the ECU can be clean and clear... hopefully at that point the stock cams would hold enough vacuum with the ported head to not trip a MAP code. Someone needs to design a code blocker, hehee.

that's strange, a lot of people who live in the next town over (mcHenry, crystal lake, etc...) have to take emissions, but I live in Woodstock, and i haven't yet gotten a notice!!!

but it's ok, i don't have anything done to my car really (yet)

GET ONE GET ONE. :P

I like being a full time student. It means I get to keep my KS tags and license and not have to put up with emissions testing or inspections here in AZ. To think of how much money I would have to put into my car to get it legal here! Wow.

I will look into that myself sir, but I have this HUGE cherry bomb waiting to go on mine.
