57976, My DSM light came on last night .. help Posted by 2hot97GS, Aug-27-03 08:00 AM
last night my CEL came on, and i havent had time to check the code yet, but i beili it may be the same one ive gotten before... its come on a few times over the last 5 months or so and still runs fine, ive just reset the ecu and its gone away, but it has stored a code that i pulled via the light the other day.... it flashed 5 times, paused, and flashed 5 more... i belive that makes it a code '55'.. anyone know what this is?
also... for my future refrence.. anyone know where i can get an obd2 datalogger cable/software for my laptop?

"55" means it's the end of codes.
obd-2.com sells a nice cable. you will get better sampling with a palm pilot though. i get about 7-8 FPS with my laptop, i hear people get like 12-14 with palm pilots. don't know why.

code 55 just means "end of error codes"
If there are no other codes, this indicates all is fine, that no error codes were detected.

Hey Travis, I have the datalogger software on Dad's laptop, we can see what it reads, but, like said 55 is end of codes.
