I'm thinking of making test pipes for the 2gnt crowd. Will be a direct bolt in replacement for the cat. I can do any size/flange size combo you want. Sizes from 2.25, 2.50, and possibly 3", with any flange size you want. This is what i'm thinking of offering:

Test pipe, with 2 new, high quality sealing gaskets- 30.00 + ship
Test pipe with 2 new high quality gaskets, with 2 hangers welded to fit
the cat's hanger locations- 40.00 + ship

Of course, i'll have to add the disclaimer that i will in no way be held responsible for the use of these, since removing the cat is illegal for street use. Pipes will be MIG welded, and will be strong and very professional looking.

Also, i have thoughts of making bolt in resonater sections, to replace the cat. I have no pricing on that yet, until i can get some leads if i can find the right size resonators, or glasspack pipings. I'll see what i can come up with in the next day or so for those.

Check out Dynmax untra flow round or bullet mufflers, it's what I use as a resonator on my neon, should be the right legnth for you.

Definately interested. I have had a damn CEL for my cat for 3 months. I was trying to find a direct fit high flow but I can't seem to find one (Haven't looked to hard though). But, yeah I am interested.

I would be interested in a resonator sometime in the future too. This way when people have raspy ass hell exhausts, we can say, go buy a resonator from xtreme.

Prototype installed on the car. I redid the position of the hangers on
the current test pipes,from the one here on my car, but you get the idea. My current setup was a 2.5" down pipe, gutted stock cat, 2.5" resonator, then from there 3" press bent piping going into a Borla 3" inlet SS oval muffler. I'll tell you what, took the car out last night after install,and OMG, it pulls sooooo much harder! I actually had to grip the hell out of the wheel so i wouldnt be going all over the road! It was fairly cool last night, which i'm sure had somewhat to do with it, but its NEVER pulled that hard at 13 psi before. The stock cat's inlet and outlets are 2" inside diameter, which was causing a big bottle neck in my entire exhaust system. I love it. Exhaust note changed very silghtly, just a hair louder, and and not raspy at all(due to my resonator).





Now lets talk the specifics:

I can make 2.25", 2.5", or 3" Test pipes, flanged to bolt to just about anything. My 2.25" and 2.5" flanges will bolt directly to the stock 2" flanges, but i must provide a 2" gasket to fit properly. I may find a 2.25" gasket to fit, but if you have stock 2" piping, it wont matter anyway.

Orders must be prepaid, via paypal, or money order. I build most to order, or may have a couple already built, so expect shipment from about 3-5 days after payment, at most. Here is what is included:

Units will come with hangers. I debated on having them, but after fitment on my car, I decided they will provide the greatest support. Plus, i only want the best way to do this, to make it work the proper way intended.

If you would like one if these, just email me your order, and i will reply with info. As soon as i recieve your payment, it will be shipped out as stated above. These pipes are meant to be a DIRECT bolt in, with EVERYTHING you need to make it work, including instructions. You MUST TELL ME your current exhaust setup, most specifically your cat back piping size and also flange size. Its possible that you have 2.5" cat back, and a 2" flange, esp if it was done at an exhaust shop. I need to know this because the 2.25" and 2.5" gaskets will not fit the stock 2" flange bolt holes. I will supply the proper gasket if you have stock cat back flanges, and down pipe flanges. If any questions, feel free to contact me.

I can also do bolt in resonators. Due to me having to special order the cores, it may take sevral more days to complete(5-8 days after payment)

For now, just aluminized. To weld stainless, i need different wire and welding gas, and i dont have the funds at the moment to buy another gas cylinder :( Plus just being aluminized, helps keep the cost down. Yeah, JC carries 304 flexes. I can get aluminized flexes for much better than what they sell for.

i just wanna say mad props on the pipes.... im undecided yet because i already have one

one that i purchased from extreme motor sports the same time i ordered my exhaust system

its aluminum, 2.5, perfect fit BUT no hangers, no hardware, no gaskets.....

and paid 50 bux for it too, oh well it does work lol

awesome though i may end up ordering one anyhow

Thanks for the good interest guys :thumbsup I will be making the TP's and resonator sections for a long time. This just isnt a one time deal. Its not like you have to buy right away to get one. Just simply email me, and we can get the deal moving. I'm also debating of not even doing anything in 2.25", since most guys want 2.5", and get 2.5" cat back upgrades, and also turbo guys getting 2.5" downpipes. BUT, i will specail build them if that is what is wanted. I have enough parts to build 5 of those, but i wont prebuild them, as the demand for them is minimal. Also, the price of 45 bucks for the TP's, will prob stay that way for some time. The price of 65 for resonated sections will be a special price for just a limited time only. Since i cannot find the sections here locally, i have to special order them, which raises costs for me. Price for those after the time period of 4 weeks, will be 75.00+ ship. I think the resonated sections will be an excellent way to get rid of the raspy exhaust notes when you remove the cat,and have a round, straight through muffler, esp if you dont have the cat back resonator installed.

I've also decided to include the special resistor with the TP's and Resonator pipes, to wire in with the rear o2 sensor, so you dont get the Cat efficiency CEL. No exra cost to the buyer. Instructions will be included with each kit, on how to put the TP on, and how to wire the resistor in with the o2 sensor.

Holy cripes. Now this is a hook up. Good price with ALL you need, including the no CEL mod! :thumbsup Always a plus to have one less CEL in a DSM. Jump on board guys.

hey, i don't need a test pipe. but if your welding you should make a whole exaust system for people with the hahn kit. I know I would of got one before I had it done custom. say a 2.5 from the turbo back, with an optional test pipe or a cat (or both) that will drop right in. I know if i could weld I would do it. There are a lot of places that would bend pipes for me here. Im sure you would have no problem with that. just an idea... people with kits are kinda screwed when it comes to decent exaust systems. I have some nice pipes if you want to try to copy the pipes and put and cat/test in it. The hardest part is getting over the rear suspention and getting the pipe to the muffler straight.

ETX: I thought about doing entire exhaust systems, but i really dont want to go to an "exhaust shop" to bend piping. They all use press bent pipes, and i use only mandrel bent piping for better flow. Currently, i have to oreder all my mandrel bends for the few DP projects i have, and also will have to do that for the 1G SMIC piping projects. Plus, trying to ship an entire exhaust system wont be very practical for me.

I just got my test pipe and it is of excellent quality. Nice thick flanges, thick gaskets and very good welding. Also the only one I know of that comes with the hangers. Thanks.
