57845, Timing belt due up sooon... Posted by JWoodley, Aug-25-03 05:22 PM
Ok, within a month or so I'm gonna undertake the task of changing the timing belt. At the same time Im planning on installing my AFX UDP. I need to have a general idea of the necessary steps and tools that I will need. Also, where can I buy a timing belt kit and how much should I pay? How long are we talking on the install? Also, any other valuable information and experiences are welcomed! Dino, I'm hoping you reply to this. :) Thanks!

I'm sure a search of this site would provide you with all the info you would need.
I would call up Bob Kise of Fenton Dodge, or check the vendor section and call tallahase mitsu, and see what kind of deal they would give you on a t-belt kit.
As for the install... It isnt too tough a job if you have some help. My first time it took me about 9 hours, the 2nd time i did it in about 4. Just get yourself a chiltons and learn just like we all did.

Good news... I plan on changing mine in a month or two when the temps go down. My friend and I are going to have a timing belt party since we're both a little over 60k now
