aye how the hell did u guys get the block back in? ive been trying for the last 2 hours... ive got it dropped in but the damn bolts that go into the tranny will not bolt up...ive got it totally aligned w/ the TQ but like i said the fuckin thing wont bolt up....i bolt one and the the other spred.. almost like its hitting.. but i know its not.....i have like a 1 1/2" gap between the block and tranny....

Are you sure the input shaft from the tranny is mating into the clutch properly? That's the only big thing that I can think of. Make sure you line the block and tranny up properly and then push them straight together. You may try rotating the crank just a bit and/or greasing the input shaft slightly. just a guess though.

are you sure all the fukin damn annoying plates are off?

I had a lot of problems with mine thursday night, spent about 2-3 hours trying before i finally pulled it back up and out. Came back to it thursday and tried again- went in perfectly on the first try.

iight I had the same problem.. but for bout 20 minutes.. so I got mad at it (short tempered) and took the engine back out, made sure everything was gonna work (like checkin to make sure the gay plate was on and the bearing and all was connected right) then I lowered the engine in sideways, turned it, and then was very I guess you could say rough w/ it. Actually a mechanic told me to be rough w/ it, b/c our cranks are super strong its not like anything will break on ya, and it went into place, if you have a gap bigger than 1/4 inch, its not alligned right, trust me. Oh and I took off everything except the timing stuff, it made it alot easier.... once you get the first few block to tranny bolts done (the 2 around the starter and then the slave cylinder, it all lines itself up... if ya need anymore help holla at me on aim.. rawdawgstv..peace
