im gonna be making these, 2.5, and 3in would anyone be interested?

I would be interested, especially if maybe you could include some sort of electronic cutout in there that would route it through stock/aftermarket exhaust for not at the track.

electronic would bump cost up way too much, i can make a testpipe that has a manual cable cutout that exits out the side

I was under the impression that our cars performed better and produced more torque when we had a certain amount of backpressure in the system. That was the reasoning behind us N/T guys not jumping directly into 3" exhausts??
Just curious though...

thats why im gonna be making 2.5pipes for nt and 3 for turbo, on nt, youll lose low end, but ittl make more power on top

Couldn't you just install a splitter right before the cat with a butterfly on a throttle cable you could pull to bypass everything and just dump it straight out under the car? Just an idea...

Actually, I think JC Whitney sells something exactly like that. Its a Y shaped deal, with a cable controlled butterfly. You just pull the cable from in your car to direct the exaust to another pipe route. Its called an exaust cut out or something like that..

Yeah... JCWhitney sells cable controlled cutouts for like 10 bucks. The two problems I see with your idea is the resonator and the side pipe. The resonator creates some backpressure. The side pipe may be too low for those of us with a race setup suspension and may have placement issues b/c of different downpipes.

Be cool to have a cutout in a side skirt for the pipe exit. Kinda like some of the mustangs that have that in the rear of the side skirt..Prob wouldnt be enough room though with that metal rail right there..

Now supposing you ran it parallel to the stock exhaust and then brought it up through the hatch in the form of a semi tractor truck style exhaust and out the top and it was ALL chrome, maybe I would be really interested because, well, nobody's done THAT before! :P

I had that JC Whitney cutoff on one of my cars a long time ago. It leaks a little when it's closed, but yeah they're pretty cool. You get quite a reaction pulling up to a light with it closed and then opening it up and start revving - it's absolutely the easiest way to get someone to race you. The only problem with that one is that it leaks just a little when its closed. I've seen some electric motor adaptations that actually look like they have a better sealing valve that don't leak when they're closed.
