Ive been reading/posting on the other topic about milling the head and i just need a few questions answered. I read that for every 40 thousandth you mill the head you have to change timing one tooth or so. I need details on this, ive milled my head 50 thousandths and my car is just acting shitty. The timing is set at base timing, no change for the milling. What do i have to do to fix this? BTW, the car has a hard timing starting, crappy/missing idle, and hesitation under acceleration up to 4k rpms. Any help?

You should retard the timing 1 tooth, or better yet get adjustable cam gears.

i can tell you right now that 50k on a inch is a bit to much, my old one was only done 30k of an inch and that raised my comp up to 11 to 1

The limit on our heads is 70 thousandths. My head was warped like crazy when i changed my timing belt.

If I were you though, I would buy a set of cam gears. You can get fidanza cam gears for 99 bucks a piece.

Just imagine the timing mark on the intake cam gear is one tooth forward (clockwise), and everything else do normal.
