Anyone know where to get motor mounts for a Eclipse GS? Do I have to look under dodge neon? I found some mounts for the eclipse but it doesn't say if its for the turbo or N/A? Anyone know any site? Thank you.

I ordered new ones from Tallahase mitsu for half of what my local satan wanted.

I need some performace motormounts. When I buy the mounts, do they also come with the inserts???

i have the energy suspension motor mounts. i believe the 420a and 4g63 use the same ones. my box just says eclipse, talon. so it should be the same ones. manual trans only. it comes with inserts. u just take off the bolt, put these over your factory MM (i think they might come with washers too, so put them on) and tighten bolt back up. youll see what i mean when u get them. pretty simple for the front one, but the back one is a PITA ive heard. i had alot of shit ripped out of my engine when i put these in (doing another project) so it wasnt too bad.

i think theres another company called prothane? that sells MM too.

i went to jcwhitney and found prothane. but it's the motor mount insert kit? whats the difference? if you have the site you got the mounts from, that would help alot. I dont want to order the wrong ones and send them back in. Thanks.

I have 3 solid motor mounts installed on my car. I bought new ones from the Tallahase mitsu, and then filled them with Windo-weld. They are awesome. New mounts were $50ish, and a tube of Windo-weld was $12.

3/4 of my mounts are the run4cvr variety too. The only one I didn't get replaced was the pass. side. They are tight and firm and very nice. An idea for you to consider...

I have the energy suspension inserts and they are awesome! They make a world of difference to your launches, and a kick in the ass on hard shifts! I got mine from www.ptuning.com for $16 after the 10% 2GNT discount!

If you are going for ride comfort you may not want these though...they also add kind of a muscle car vibration to your car. If you want to feel like you have a lot of power they are awesome, if you want an extremely smooth ride, I'd stay away.

Anyone know who makes an actual solid front motor mount?? Not just an insert? I'd rather do that then using filler or whatever..i still get wheel hop a bit at the track..I think one solid mount up front will take care of that..

if there r ne machine shops around where u live take out ur front and take it to them. Get them weld a flat piece of metal across the mount with a hole drilled in it for the factory pin. Have them to weld it on the outside part of the motor mount and where the hole is cut out for the pin. DO this on both sides. I have this done for my front and back and it works great:thumbsup

damn, thats a sweet idea :thumbsup I can do most of that myself..so how is the vibration with it like that?? I can tolerate vibration for the most part..to me, now with the ES inserts, that's nothing at all.. No wheelhop or anything??

I was originally going to weld two big washers on my front mount like you described, but decided to try the windo-weld first. My buddy works at NAPA so i get it at his price. I have zero wheel hop, and a slight vibration. The windo-weld was simple to use, and it was cured in 2 days.

vibration wasnt real bad with just the front but when u add in the back it kind of gets on ur nerves but i've got uset to it and it isnt that bad. Also no wheel hop:thumbsup

You know what, looking at the ES inserts today, the big ass washers they give you that fit on the outside of the mount, looks like it will weld up perfectly to the mount :) Then if the center hole of those washers are too big, and the through bolt is loose, then just weld on another washer with the right hole size to the larger ES washer..Hmmm i may try this? Hell its free haha
