56147, DSM should mean DONT! Save ur Money!

My luck of no problems with my eclipse just ran out. Heres my problems...

Battery is toasted and got new one, but seems not to want to start, looked like it wasn't getting a spark in the wire.

Exhaust manifold is leaking, at the weird looking bolt in front of the fan. Not sure if I should try to fix or go header. Wanted to go turbo next summer, so didn't want to get headers, but that might be cheaper then fixing the leak.

Motor mount braket looking thing broke off and was rubbing my belt. So my belt snapped. Not sure if it was the rear motor mount bracket cause the engine doesn't rock, but looks just like one...maybe a lift bracket?

No cels, but the car just runns like shit, any ideas would or comments or the problems, let me know...

As for the Bolt in front of the fan its probably alittle more then that....I had and I know of others who get a hairline crack in the exshaust manifold right at that bolt and the crack runs down its because of the heat....take a closer look for a crack right in that area

Performance: Stuff that makes my car run better or go faster

Looks: Stock because looks doesnt make my car go faster or run better

Weight Reduction: CF Hood, No A/C or Powersteering Accessories, No rear interior

Actually, DSM = Damn Sexy Machine, imo.

1- the lift bracket at the rear pass side might have come off, but I have no way of confirming this is the problem.

2- new batt and still not likey to start? I would go to AutoZone and get a new starter cable from the batt to the starter. If your old batt ever had some corrosion, it could've seeped up into your starter wire and increased resistance, making it harder to start. Also, if your posts were corroded, you might consider new terminals. I had this problem myself and the new cable cleared it all up.

3- the only motor mount near the belts is right under the overflow bottle for your radiator. If it came undone, you would know. I suggest removing the splach gaurd behind the pass front wheel and then letting the car idle. Look in there and see if you see anything coming into contact. Just be careful not to go sticking your fingers in where the moving parts are waiting to remove them. :P

Good luck sir.
