I have a 95 N/T, and some days it just pulls so much harder at higher RPM's than other days. Does anyone notice this on their cars too, because no one ever talks about it?

Not sure if it's sensor related, but i'de love it if someone could help me out on this topic to get my car running to par all the time.

Incase it helps get rid of some variables, I have new MSD coil pack, new EGR valve, new PCV valve, new plugs/wires.

Then why are our eclipses sensitive to weather very noticeably, while everyone else I talk to with Hondas, Acura’s, ect. say weather doesn't affect their car's performance at all?

Is there a fix, or any piggyback device to help?

I think every car is gonna run better in certain weather conditions. I know mine runs better when it's cool, around 60* and pretty low humidity, but I live in north Texas so that's not usually a problem.:-) But when we do get some humidity my car no likey...

Do YOU run up to par every day? Why would you expect such perfection from a DSM then? :P

Hell I have to wait for winter to get to 60 degrees. I'm in florida its hot as hell and the humidity is crazy. Plus everytime the humidity or temp changes my belts sound like birds untill I have driven around for hours.

It was nice and cool yesterday on my way home from work. Low humidity. Had an empty tank. My car was noticably faster. Would have been a great night to go to the track. I usually run an empty tank at the track so I know what that feels like...but yesterday it was running so fast that I probably could have beat my own record if I did go. Yeah, weather definately affects my car.

I really think it's just a matter or air density. When a high pressure system rolls in and the temp is lower, you probably get a denser air charge so the car leans things out and you pick up some nuts. When the temps go up and the humidity increases, the air charge is compromised (relatively speaking) and you lose that ballsy power increase.

Just my idea. I would think maybe you make a sticky day setting for an AFC and then a good day setting and just switch between the two as needed. It's gotta be air/fuel related, imo.

So no one knows some kind of modification to the sensors on the car to help it run really good in hot humid weather, or is it just that less air can get into the cylinders when it's less dense?

route your air intake through your air conditioner! :P

but, yeah, it was ~90s here a few weeks back, my car ran like shit... gotta love that short ram air intake on a high heat/high humidity day.
I used to notice a substantial difference in performance depending on what brand gas I'd buy for my ex-neon. it ran like it was running on 3 cylinders if I put mobil in it, put citgo in, runs like a charm.

the old B engines wernt as sensitive to the weather. The new K series like in the rsx is.

There’s got to be something we can do to our 420a's to help it out, whether it's pricey or not too pricey to do.
