Anyone have one of these hi-flow cats? I am building a new downpipe and trying to keep my costs low. Worth $50?

Where did you get it for $40? I saw a few on ebay for $39 w/ $15 shipping.

Thats the one I just ordered couple weeks ago. Its actually a Megan Racing cat and it fits awesome! It comes with new gaskets and new hardware. It mounts to the stock positions even though the picture in the auction doesnt show it with the mounts. I would buy it again in a second. It didnt set off my CEL either. (knock on Wood) Highly recommended. -Chris b.

Is yours an actual converter? Looks like most of the "performance" ones are test pipes.

It is a high flow cat, and NOT a test pipe. Although it is straight through design, the cat part is off to the sides and not in the direct flow of the exhaust. Works better than the stocker... but really change your exhaust tone. -Chris b.

I just about ready to buy myself, but when you say really chage your exhaust tone, does it change it for better or worse?

I changed the stock cat and put a header on at the same time so I dont know exactly which one did what to the sound but the combo of the both sounds aweful in my opinion. It has really changed the tone, it is way more raspy and hhmmmm... metalic sounding now. Sounds way louder and more buzzy. I am going to go get a glasspack put in soon because I can't stand how it sounds. I will try and capture a sound file here for ya. -Chris b.
