So I was talking to this kid today, and thats what some guy from a local shop told him. The shop guy owns like 5 civics, and bought an eclipse with all the work already done. Here's how the convo went...

Eclipse982nr (1:46:52 PM): hey do you know of any like simple bolt on parts to get some more hp that isnt a ton of $$$
Enll5 (1:47:12 PM): hmmmmm
Enll5 (1:47:15 PM): what all do u have?
Eclipse982nr (1:48:43 PM): aem cold air intake, aem cam gears, apex-i safc, greddy header, tanabe catback exhuast, catco converter
Enll5 (1:48:55 PM): underdrive pulley
Eclipse982nr (1:49:37 PM): no
Eclipse982nr (1:49:50 PM): they mess up alignment
Eclipse982nr (1:50:00 PM): says john from rim and trim
Enll5 (1:50:10 PM): how would a pulley mess up alignment?
Enll5 (1:50:16 PM): wheel alignmet? what?
Eclipse982nr (1:50:19 PM): ask john
Eclipse982nr (1:50:24 PM): i have no idea dude, haha
Eclipse982nr (1:50:36 PM): john told me not to buy one cuz "it will mess up alignment"
Enll5 (1:50:42 PM): he's a honda guy, i honestly don't think he knows anything about eclipses
Enll5 (1:50:51 PM): check out forums.2gnt.com
Eclipse982nr (1:50:58 PM): he has an eclipse
Enll5 (1:51:01 PM): all about non turbo eclipses and talons
Enll5 (1:51:16 PM): well i dont know then
Eclipse982nr (1:51:23 PM): have you seen his eclipse tho
Enll5 (1:51:34 PM): but a whole bunch of people on that message board have underdrive pulleys, and haven't had any problems
Enll5 (1:51:41 PM): nope, didnt know he even had one
Eclipse982nr (1:51:52 PM): omg it was in fast and furious
Eclipse982nr (1:52:14 PM): you ever seen the yellow quantun tek eclipse w/ corvette tail lights ?
Enll5 (1:52:24 PM): i think so
Eclipse982nr (1:52:36 PM): thats his car
Eclipse982nr (1:52:44 PM): he bought from qauntum tek
Enll5 (1:52:58 PM): haha, but that means he didn't do any of the work
Eclipse982nr (1:53:05 PM): ya i know
Eclipse982nr (1:53:22 PM): here ,.......
Eclipse982nr (1:53:55 PM): Summit Racing Equipment | Gallery Photo 41 of 58
Eclipse982nr (1:54:36 PM): where do i find stuff on that site about und. pulleys ?

That's the car he bought. It was in Import Ricer before he owned it, and it has the corvette tails. WTF are people telling the 2GNT owners?

its a crank pulley first off ... and in no way shape or form attached to the wheels (well besides the crank...)let alone the alignment ... civics have alternator pulley and power steering ... again nothing to do with alignment ... i would recommend u dont EVER bring your car to this man ..

Well if you put a UDP on your car you better take it to Sears to get it aligned the next day.

speaking of knob. where is the guy that had the "knob" at the shootout? he he. you were helping install the ignition in 95greenhrcgs's car.

Well if you don't get the underdrive pulley installed correctly and all the way on it could affect the alignment of the pulley belts in relation to the other pulleys/tensioners. That is why some ppl here have had problems with shredding and throwing belts. An alignment isnt only in reference to the wheels you know.
Just a thought,

i realize thats probabaly what he meant, but it's still retarded. he acts like its a problem that can't be fixed.

thegame: what rim and trim did you go to? there's a couple of em. did you go to the one in kent?

Knob boy would be the1bill while working on Mr. Crimp's car (not one of the connections to anf from the MSD were crimped.

The only thing that will cause improper belt alignment is incorrect installation. It's not a problem.

If this guy truely was talking about wheel alignment... what a wank.
